Managing WebSked platforms

Use the Platforms page in WebSked settings to define your organization's content destinations, such as your homepage or social media channels.

Content creators (or editors) can pitch their work to those platforms for consideration.

As a news organization administrator, you open WebSked platform settings to define the destinations to showcase your content.

You set up a homepage (/homepage) platform so your content creators can pitch their stories to that destination. You also set up an X thread (/x_thread) platform so creators can pitch their stories to your organization's X account managers.

Procedure

To configure your platforms, complete the following:

  1. Navigate to the WebSked application. The WebSked page opens.

  2. In the upper right corner, click your user profile > Company > Platforms. The Platforms pane opens.

  3. Click Add new platform. The Platforms right-pane opens.

  4. Complete the following fields: 

    • Path - define a unique identifier for the platform, such as /homepage.

    • Title - enter a descriptive title for the platform.

    • Website - select the website where that platform is available.

  5. Click Save.

Your platforms display on the WebSked Platforms page.

To edit the platform settings, click the edit icon icon_edit.png. The Platform right-pane opens to allow you to make the necessary changes.

To delete a platform, click the delete icon icon_delete_task.png. Click Delete in the pop-up window. You cannot undo this deleting action.
