How Arc XP communicates deprecations and system maintenance
At Arc XP, we know that platform changes, whether planned maintenance or deprecations, can affect your operations.
Deprecations and maintenance are a standard part of any modern, cloud-native platform, typically driven by the need to improve performance, security, and scalability. And we strive to manage and communicate these items with as much transparency and advance notice as possible.
Deprecations
Deprecations are the planned removal of features or functionality, often to improve performance, security, and maintainability. Our deprecations fall into two main categories:
Product-driven deprecations: These deprecations are proactive decisions we make to improve the platform. For example, we deprecated Legacy Inbound Wires due to stability concerns and offered more efficient alternatives.
Externally-driven deprecations: These deprecations occur when dependencies beyond our control change. For example, the deprecation of a PageBuilder Engine version due to AWS sunsetting a supported version of Node.js.
In both cases, we strive to provide advance notice, typically at least six months, to help you plan and adjust accordingly. The notice period may vary based on the scope and impact of the change.
How Arc XP can help
We understand that deprecations, while necessary for long-term platform improvements, can require time and effort on your part. That's why we're committed to supporting you throughout this process.
Advance notice - we aim to provide clear and timely communication, typically at least six months in advance, so you have the time you need to prepare, plan, and execute any changes.
Customer support - our Customer Support team is available to answer questions, troubleshoot issues, and guide you through any technical impacts.
Partner network - for projects that require additional effort, we can connect you with trusted Arc XP partners who are experienced in our platform and available for short- and long-term engagements. Our partners can help scope, plan, and implement solutions tailored to your needs.
System maintenance
Ongoing maintenance is essential to keep Arc XP running reliably and securely. Occasionally, this work may require temporary feature outages. When that happens, we provide at least 10 days' notice to ensure you're prepared.
Even for maintenance that does not cause downtime, we generally notify you so you're aware that work is taking place. If you experience any unexpected behavior during these windows, we encourage you to contact Arc XP Customer Support immediately.
