Themes - Fragment Page + Linking Guidance for Themes

Linking is a piece of PageBuilder Editor functionality that Themes customers can take advantage of. For more information about linking, see PageBuilder Editor: Linking 101.

The Fragment page is where your parent linked blocks are controlled.

Below are the blocks that are parent blocks on this Fragments page, and that we recommend you link to as you build out your site, so that you can update these blocks from this one location.

navigation

Once you set up a hierarchy for your navigation, you can update the Content Configuration in this parent chain, and it will update on all linked pages and templates.

You can also drag a Sign In button Custom Block into this chain, and configure it to display within the Navigation.

Additionally, if further navigation custom fields are available in the future, you will be able to configure + update them all at once if you link to this parent Navigation Chain across pages and templates on your site.

See Navigation - Arc Chain.

alert-bar

The Alert Bar does not have any configurations as of yet, but it is possible it will have additional custom fields in the future. For this reason, it's advisable to link to this parent Alert Bar Block across pages and templates on your site.

See Alert Bar - Arc Block.

links-bar

Once you set up a hierarchy for your link bar, you can update the Content Configuration in this parent block, and it will update on all linked pages and templates.

See Links Bar - Arc Block.

right-rail-chain

This single-column chain simply groups together all the blocks that you want to appear in the right rail across pages and templates on your site. Keeping this linked means that you can update it in one place (on the Fragment page) and have those changes appear anywhere it's linked to.

By default, it includes a Numbered List and a Simple List. You can configure it to add any ads, content promos, or other blocks that you want to appear in the right rail. Additionally, if you want your right rail content to be different depending on the page or template, you have the option to unlink this chain.

footer

Once you set up a hierarchy for your footer, you can update the Content Configuration in this parent block, and it will update on all linked pages and templates.
