Web Gateway customizations
Arc XP's Web Gateway is a globally distributed content delivery platform that serves your site's content with high availability, low latency, and advanced edge logic. It also enables custom behavior at the end, such as content targeting, security enhancements, and integration with third-party services, without requiring changes to your code base.
Arc XP offers several customizations to support unique delivery, performance, and compliance needs. These services are available by request through Arc XP Customer Support.
To request a Web Gateway customization:
Open a ticket with Arc XP Customer Support, selecting Other Assistance.
In the summary field, include a clear title, for example, "Add alternate origin for legacy content".
In the description field, provide the required details listed under each customization. Be sure to note if the request is urgent.
Arc XP offers the following customizations:
Arc XP supports custom time-to-live (TTL) settings for PageBuilder content. If content isn't requested frequently encouhg to stay cached, stale content can be served for up to 168 hours (1 week).
Create an Arc XP Customer Support ticket with the details of your TTL requirements.
This option enforces SSL for all users, helping protect sensitive data such as credit card information and personally identifiable information (PII).
SSL verifies website ownership and blocks attackers from impersonating your site.
You can request an alternate origin for content from legacy systems or third-party vendors.

This is not intended to support full third-party tools like WordPress.

Simple match or regex match - specify the URI pattern
FWD origin for requests - specify the alternate origin hostname. It must have a valid cert.
Default cache TTL - optionally, specify requests without a max-age or expires headers or bypass cache
Query parameters - specify parameters required on requests to alternate origin, if applicable
HTTP methods - specify the HTTP method, like
GETorPOSTValidation URLs - provide a complete list of all paths, parameters, and methods
This customization allows resources like fonts and JavaScript to load from domains other than the origin, reducing security risks when sharing resources.

If targeting regions under GDPR or CCPA regulation, consider adding a cookie criterion for opt-out compliance.

Arc XP collections additional details, including business address and contact information, to generate a certificate signing request (CSR) if needed.
Arc XP can support customer-provided SSL certificates. We generate a CSR for your certificate authority to sign. See Arc XP domain management and SSL certification provisioning.
Deliver logs from edge servers to an FTP or SFTP destination.

This servie delivers real-time, sampled CDN edge data to platforms like Datadog, Splunk, S3, or a custom HTTP endpoint. See CDN log delivery with Arc XP.
The Arc XP Subscriptions paywall and server-side paywall uses a client-side rules engine to evaluate pageview and determine gating behavior.
