Pitching content in WebSked

Use WebSked's Pitching feature to suggest content for inclusion in your organization's platforms, publications, and collections.

Pitching allows content creators to advocate for their work and helps content and homepage editors to curate their pages, sections, and destinations.

WebSked has three main destinations for pitches: platforms, publications, and collections:

  • Platforms are content destinations that showcase the best and newest content. Examples include your organization's homepage or social media channels.

  • Publications - are time-dependent content destinations with fixed edition dates and times. Examples include daily newspapers or weekly email newsletters.

  • Collections - are content feeds usable in PageBuilder Editor and the Collections API. Users can add, order, and share content as targeted groupings without approval.

As a content creator, you want to pitch your latest story to the Sunday newsletter publication.

You access WebSked, locate your story —planned for publishing on the weekend— and pitch it to the Sunday newsletter publication.

The weekend newsletter editor receives a notification and accesses the WebSked Publications tab to evaluate content pitches. They preview and select your story. When they finalize the edition, your story appears in the weekend newsletter.
