Using Suggesting Mode in Composer
Suggesting Mode in Composer allows users to propose content changes directly in the story body without altering the original text. Suggest changes appear as highlighted edits, making it easy for collaborators to review and accept or reject edits.
Here's how it works:
Additions: Suggested additions appear with a green highlight to indicate an addition.
Deletions: Deleted suggestions appear with a strike-through style to indicate removal.
No changes made in Suggestion Mode appear in published stories. They are visible only to the content team for review. Suggestions become a part of the published story only when a user accepts or rejects the changes and you publish.
Switching to Suggesting Mode
To begin using Suggesting Mode, follow one of these methods:
Activating Suggesting Mode Manually:
Select Suggesting Mode from the Composer interface. When you’re in Suggesting Mode, every action is tracked as either an addition or deletion.
Using Keyboard Shortcuts:
Type

to enter Suggesting Mode.
Using Keyboard Shortcut for Selecting Text:
Highlight any text and then press
CMD
(Mac) orCTRL
(Windows) +/
to make a suggestion. This action lets you add your suggested changes immediately.
Using Keyboard Shortcut for Inline Notes:
Highlight any text and press
CMD
+OPTION
+N
to enter inline notes. Inline notes remain invisible on published pages. You can also use the inline notes icon
from the formatting bar to add notes.
Managing Suggestions
You can choose to accept or reject suggestions in your story.
When you accept a suggestion, the system adds the changes to the story body, directly modifying the text. The change is then saved and published when you take those actions.
When you reject a suggestion, the system removes that suggestion from the story and does not reflect the change in the final content.
Commenting on Suggestions
You can engage with suggested changes by leaving comments on the proposed text. Leaving comments enables easy communication between team members regarding the proposed edits.
