Managing inactive website sections
Use the Inactive sections page of Site Service to reactivate deleted sections in your website.
Note
The Inactive sections page allows you to recover sections deleted using the Site Service UI. Sections deleted with the Sites API are permanently deleted and unrecoverable.
An administrator of The Herald wants to create a section for Sports content with the ID /sports. The Create a new section page errors, messaging "A Section with this ID already exists". The administrator wants to retrieve the deleted section that had been assigned the ID and reapply it to the website.
Procedure
To restore a deleted section, complete the following:
Navigate to the Site Service app. The Websites page opens.
Click Inactive Sections. The Inactive sections page opens.
Select a website from the drop-down menu. A list of the website's deleted sections appears.
Click Restore next to the section you want to restore.
