Invalid ANS Message After Resave

Symptoms

  • Attempting to resave an existing story produce an error: "Error: Cannot save the story. invalid ANS: [[{"keyword":"additionalProperties" "dataPath":".planning.story_length" "schemaPath":"#/properties/story_length/additionalProperties" "params":{"additionalProperty":"character_count_actual"} "message":"should NOT have additional properties"} {"keyword":"additionalProperties" "dataPath":".planning.story_length" "schemaPath":"#/properties/story_length/additionalProperties" "params":{"additionalProperty":"character_encoding"} "message":"should NOT have additional properties"}]]"

  • Attempting to regenerate the URL in Composer also shows the same error message as above 

Cause

This error message indicates a mismatch between the ANS version of the content from Draft API and Composer. This may occur for content created prior to an update to Draft API. 

Solution

Open a ticket with ACS to correct the issue, citing this article.
