VOD Edit Beta

With Video Center 1.123, Arc XP introduced a modernized video editing experience. We’ve rebuilt this key workflow from the ground up with the following goals in mind for editorial users:

  • Make it more intuitive to create videos: This update will feel familiar to editorial users - we’re bringing Video Center’s video editing interface in line with the way you edit stories in Composer and create galleries in Photo Center. Once you know how to create and publish content in one Arc tool, you’ll be able to confidently use them all.

The new video editing interface integrates better with Composer and Photo Center

  • Publish videos faster: We’ve addressed core user experience pain points within Video Center. You’ll no longer need to constantly refresh the page, be overwhelmed by system notification popups, or scroll endlessly to add all your metadata. We’ve also added in small improvements to common actions - like adding a filmstrip to make it easier to select your thumbnail image.

Video Center release 1.123 through 1.126 introduced a new video edit UX with a subset of the capabilities available for managing videos.

At this time, we are pausing development and focusing our resources on more consumer-focused experiences. Customers with access to the new experience can continue to use it as they do today. Customers who do not have access can request to be added to the Beta, which grants access to both the old and new experience.

No, the editing experience for live events is not changing as part of this beta program.
