Integrating WebSked with Microsoft Teams
Use the Integrations page in WebSked settings to connect with third-party messaging applications and receive automated notifications about your content workflow progress.
This guide lets you connect WebSked with Microsoft Teams.
You start by registering your Teams link within the WebSked application. Next, you download the WebSked application from Arc XP and upload it as a custom application in Microsoft Teams. After successfully integrating, the WebSked bot delivers notifications with direct links to WebSked tasks.
Prerequisites
To complete the integration process, you must have the following permissions:
WebSked administrator access
Microsoft Teams Developer setup policy
Azure Application Developer role
Procedures
Registering your Microsoft Teams link with WebSked
Register your Microsoft Teams link with WebSked to make integrations available to all teams and channels in your organization's Teams environment. WebSked supports only one Teams environment per organization.
Navigate to the WebSked application. The WebSked page opens.
Click your username in the top-right corner > Company > Integrations. The Integrations page opens.
Click Register Teams link. A right panel opens with instructions on how to register your Teams link.
Note
If this link doesn’t appear in your account, your organization already registered a Microsoft Teams link. Proceed to Integrating the Arc XP WebSked app with Microsoft Teams.
Paste your Microsoft Teams link in the Link field.
Note
To find your team link in Microsoft Teams, refer to Microsoft Teams documentation.
Click Register link.
Click Dismiss.
After registering your Microsoft Teams link in WebSked, you must complete the following steps:
Download the Arc XP WebSked application
Upload the WebSked application to Microsoft Teams
Confirm the integration process
Note
The Arc XP WebSked application is a custom business application, not available in Microsoft Teams Store. Your Teams administrator must approve uploading it. See Microsoft Teams Support Page for more details.
The WebSked application has two versions: one for Production and one for Sandbox. Choose an environment to complete the downloading process. Depending on the environment you choose, the system automatically downloads the corresponding version.
To download the WebSked application, complete the following:
Navigate to the WebSked application. The WebSked page opens.
In the upper right corner, click your user profile > Company > Integrations. The Integration page opens.
Click Download Arc XP Teams app. A zip file containing the app manifest downloads to your computer.
Note
If the download button doesn't appear, you must complete the Registering your Microsoft Teams link with WebSked process.
To upload the downloaded zip file into Microsoft Teams, refer to the Microsoft Teams documentation: Upload custom apps.
Wait for the welcome message from the Teams notification bot.
Note
If your Teams environment isn't registered, you receive instructions to complete that step.
To confirm that your integration is successful, complete the following:
Return to the WebSked Integrations page.
Check that your team name appears under the Microsoft Teams heading.
If the team name is not visible, refresh the page.
If the team still does not appear, verify you added the app to a Team and not to your workspace.
After completing these processes, the Arc XP WebSked bot delivers your notifications, and the hyperlinks take you directly to the content that requires your attention.
