Themes Settings storage removal

Effective date: January 5, 2026

What's changing

Starting January 5, 2026, as part of the Themes Settings UI deprecation, your Themes settings will no longer be stored in the Arc XP database. All previously stored Themes settings will be permanently removed.

Who's affected

This change applies if

  • you used the Themes Settings UI to manage site settings and deployments, and

  • you have not manually modified and deployed the bundle's blocks.json file through PageBuilder.

If you have already shifted to the PageBuilder deployer workflow, this change does not affect you.

What you need to do

  • Use the Arc XP CLI commands to retrieve your stored Themes settings or use the latest deployed bundle to grab blocks.json.

  • Save them locally so you can continue to use and edit them going forward.

After January 5, 2026, Themes settings will exist only in your local files. You will not be able to retrieve them from Arc XP's database.
