Figma Themes Design System access and workflow

Arc XP is deprecating support of customer Figma access and branching of the Figma Themes Design System in favor of customer-managed file duplicates. This is to assure the Arc XP Figma account is utilized by Arc XP employees only.

Previously Arc XP has provided access to the Themes Design System Figma file through designer seats from Arc XP’s Figma account. It’s important to make sure that Arc XP design seats are available to Arc XP employees, so they need to be limited to those users. Customers will still be able to to use a copy of the Themes Design System file through their own Figma accounts.

What you need to do

  1. Create a Figma account, if one doesn’t already exist for your organization.

  2. Use the Duplicate option to obtain a copy of the Figma blocks library.

  3. Maintain your Figma blocks library copies within your own account.

  4. View updates to the Figma library through Themes release notes.

  5. If you are no longer using the branch, immediately report you no longer need access and Arc XP can disable your branch.

Important

If you cannot create a Figma account before October 17, 2025, you can download the Themes Block Styling 2.0 Figma file (.FIG) to your computer and open it in Figma once you have set up an account.

Figma branches will be removed on October 17, 2025. After this date, we can provide branch-specific Figma files upon request.
