Adding a watermark to a video

You can add a watermark to your videos in Video Center. Watermarking can serve multiple purposes:

  • Brand visibility - ensure your videos carry your organization's name or logo.

  • Copyright protection - prevent unauthorized use by visibly establishing ownership and discourage reuse.

  • Content integrity and trust - signal that the video comes from a verified source.

In Video Center, to apply a watermark to a video, you first upload your watermark to a video type. You can either create a new type or use one of your existing types. Just note that if you use an existing type, every video that uses that type receives the watermark. You then assign that type to your videos.

By default, watermarks use a BottomLeft position. If you want to change the default position, you must contact Arc XP Customer Support. The available options are TopLeft, TopRight, BottomRight, and BottomLeft. Also note that the position is a global setting for all videos. You cannot set the position on a video by video basis.
