Configuring WebSked workflow statuses
Use the Workflow statuses page to define the statuses for content.
Arc XP provides Draft, Edit, and Publish workflow statuses by default, but you can define and configure as many statuses as needed to meet your organization's goals.
We recommend starting with fewer workflow statuses and expanding as needed rather than creating too many at once. Consider capturing 75% of your common content workflow touchpoints and using separate tasks and templates for less frequent activities.
As a news organization administrator, you have already set the default workflow statuses that WebSked provides, such as Draft, Edit, and Publishing.
You notice that editors need to review some real-time content to avoid inaccuracies, so you enter the WebSked schemas page to create a Live Review status.
This new status helps web editors to mark live content that needs additional review.
Procedures
To set up your organization workflow statuses, complete the following:
Navigate to the WebSked application. The WebSked page opens.
In the upper right corner, click your user profile > Company > Schemas. The Workflow statuses page opens.
Click Create new workflow status.
Complete the following fields:
ID - set a unique ID number.
Display order - define the display order placement. For flexibility, we recommend using increments of 10 (for example, 10, 20, 30). This allows you to add new statuses later without having to renumber existing statuses.
Name - set a name for the workflow status.
Color (hex) - define a hexadecimal color for identification.
Click Save.
Repeat this process until you create the workflow statuses that fit your organization.
To delete a workflow status, complete the following:
Navigate to the WebSked application. The WebSked page opens.
In the upper right corner, click your user profile > Company > Schemas. The Workflow statuses page opens.
Navigate to the desired workflow and click the Delete icon
. A confirmation window opens.
Click Delete. The workflow status no longer appears on the Workflow statuses page.
You cannot undo the deleting action.
