Release summary

We are updating the Arc XP AI Editor Chrome Extension to make it easier to access and to prepare your newsroom for upcoming AI enhancements.

What's New

Starting December 2nd, the AI Editor will open in a panel outside of Composer.

This ensures the panel remains visible and consistent, and clears the path for the new Arc XP AI Assistant, now available as a beta in Sandbox.

Release summary

We added OpenAI’s GPT 5.0 to the Model Selection drop-down menu in Global Settings. When you select this model, performance is optimized and the reasoning level is fixed at the minimum setting to provide faster responses.

Release summary

This release includes two new features available in the Core package:

  • Translations - A new button within the AI Editor to easily translate your story into any language 

  • Text-To-Speech - A new button within the AI Editor to turn your text story into an audio article (Sandbox preview only)

This release also includes AI Settings in Global Settings, which allows an AI Admin to change the default models and prompts used within the AI Editor, and also generate custom prompts that show as new buttons within the AI Editor.  To learn more about AI Settings in Global settings, visit Configuring Arc Intelligence settings.
