PageBuilder Editor

PageBuilder Editor is Arc XP's content management tool that allows you to design, build, and maintain your website's pages through a visual interface without writing code.

Working alongside PageBuilder Engine, Arc's dynamic rendering system, PageBuilder Editor gives you control over your content's presentation. Using the drag-and-drop feature, you can build and deploy your webpages without writing any code.

PageBuilder Editor also helps solve the following content workflow challenges:

  • Update homepage layouts quickly during breaking news or special events, like election coverage.

  • Maintain consistent branding across multiple websites.

  • Create personalized experiences for your audiences using the Audience Targeting feature.

Prerequisites

To use PageBuilder Editor, ensure you have the following minimum permissions in the Permissions application:

  • Access PageBuilder - allows you to see a link to PageBuilder in the Arc Navbar and dashboard and access the application user interface. It is recommended for all users with any other privileges in PageBuilder and is required to use PageBuilder for the Composer article preview.

  • Write and Publish - allows you to create, copy, edit, export, import, and publish pages and templates, and edit their versions. It also allows you to add, edit, move, and link features or chains and update Layout, Page Metadata, and pages' content—also known as Global Content Source.

  • Unpublish Page - allows you to unpublish a page or template.

Tip

An administrator needs additional permissions for managing their audiences, their WebSked tasks, viewing their analytics results, or accessing Developer Tools.
