Arc XP Browser Support

The Arc XP platform has three different aspects of browser support:

Arc XP-hosted sites

Sites created by the Arc XP Experience Suite can support any browsers you need based on the way you write and test your web application code in PageBuilder. We also have a native mobile SDK for Android and iOS if you want to provide a specialized experience for mobile users.

Arc XP Admin tools

The Arc XP administrative tools used by authors, editors, producers, and developers are currently designed and tested for support with the current version of Google Chrome and related browsers that use Chromium (for example, Microsoft Edge). While many browsers with similar technology stacks may work (like Safari and Firefox), we do not actively test against those browsers. You can view information on triaging browser-based problems at Triaging a Single User

Mobile device support

Arc XP Admin tools function on mobile devices that are “full width”, like tablets. Unfortunately, they have limited support for phone-width web browsers.

We test with:

  • iOS Safari

  • Android Chrome

Currently, only the Home and WebSked apps are designed to work on phone-width devices. While other apps may be accessible, they are not optimized for mobile width, and many editorial workflows can’t be completed on such a minimal screen. We are assessing improved mobile device support to Composer 2.0 for mobile width devices. Vote on this idea in the Ideas Portal
