Legacy Adapters: How to debug content failing to migrate
If you are a customer who migrated onto Arc XP prior to 2021 and your legacy adapter is still operating, then this is how you can use an endpoint in that adapter to determine why a story failed to migrate.
This will only apply to a very small subset of Arc XP customers. If the endpoint below results in a 500 error, then you are not one of these customers. If you think this is not the case, contact Arc XP Customer Support.
Procedure
To preview importing a story, visit the following:
https://api.{{org}}.arcpublishing.com/adapter/convert?source_type=story&source_id={{source_id}}
This will simulate the import and return an error if an issue is detected. The error message will usually describe the problem.
If no error message is seen and you still cannot find the content in Arc XP, contact Arc XP Customer Support.
