Setting a Monthly Spend Limit for AI Requests
Setting a monthly spend limit for Arc Intelligence requests is a great way to manage your monthly budget and to ensure you're staying within your set parameters.
Arc Intelligence packages are billed as a fixed user seat cost plus a variable number of requests. To control the variable cost, your organization can apply a monthly spend limit.
Note
The fixed user seat cost is not included in the spend limit dollar amount. This dollar amount is applied towards all request types (Starter, Core, etc.) together.
What happens when I am near or at my spend limit?
When your organization hits 75% of its monthly spend limit, a warning message appears in the AI Editor, but the request will still be processed as normal. Arc XP is also notified.

When you reach 100% of your spend limit, the request will not be processed, and you will see a message in the AI Editor that the limit has been reached. You will not be charged for any further requests once the limit is reached.

Can I increase my spend limit?
If you would like to increase your spend limit at any point during the month, complete an ACS ticket requesting the change. The AI team will then update the configuration in the API, and requests will be increased. This takes 1 business day or less to complete.
Are spend limits different for Starter vs. Core packages?
No. The spend limit is in total, regardless of the price per request. It all adds up together and is calculated in real time.
When does my spend limit reset?
On the first of every month, the spend limit will return to zero and start accruing again.
What if I don't have a spend limit?
Adding a spend limit is optional, and you may choose to have no limit.
What is the default spend limit?
The default spend limit is $500 if no limit is defined.
