# Edge Content Protection

Source: https://docs.arcxp.com/en/products/subscriptions/arc-xp-subscriptions-paywall/edge-content-protection.html

Edge Content Protection lets you give your audience different experiences for the same content, based on each visitor’s entitlements. For example, a visitor with no subscription can get a preview with a paywall, a sports subscriber can get full sports coverage, and a sports subscriber who adds the ad-free upgrade can get that same coverage without ads.

Because the right experience is chosen before the page is delivered, your audience gets the one that matches their subscription, and your premium content stays protected.

## Key Capabilities

- **Tailored audience experiences**: Deliver as many distinct experiences as you need from a single URL, such as a preview, full access with ads, full access without ads, or a premium section. Section passes, bundles, and ad-free upgrades all work this way.
- **Control over who sees what**: Define rules that connect your audience’s entitlements to the experience they receive. Rules are applied in priority order, so you decide which one wins when more than one applies.
- **Control over which content is covered**: Choose which sections or pages of your site are covered, and exclude the ones that should be left alone.
- **Managed in Arc XP**: Set up and update your rules in the Delivery admin screens.
