# Why do I see a reduced UI in PageBuilder Editor with Write permission?

Source: https://docs.arcxp.com/en/knowledge-articles/pagebuilder-editor/why-do-i-see-a-reduced-ui-in-pagebuilder-editor-with-write-permission.html

## Symptoms

- A user has Write permission for a website but sees a reduced UI in PageBuilder Editor, including inside a Micro Experience (MX).
- The Setup and Curate workspaces are missing, and the user can’t save or share edits.
- The same pages work for administrators.

## Cause

PageBuilder Editor only lets a user write to a page if they have Write permission for every website the page is assigned to, or the global Write permission.

A page with no website selected is available to all websites, so the Editor treats it as assigned to every website in your organization. A user with Write permission for only some websites can then only view it.

## Solution

Use one of these options:

1. Have an administrator [edit the page’s properties](https://docs.arcxp.com/en/products/pagebuilder/pagebuilder-editor/managing-pages.html#UUID-37aa7b4f-dcda-3829-6725-012255820b8c%5FUUID-b3f6eb61-8a27-d70e-d58b-6bd14218e2aa) and select only the websites the page serves.
2. Give the user’s Squad Write permission on every website the page is assigned to.

For how website permissions work, see [PageBuilder permissions by website](https://docs.arcxp.com/en/products/pagebuilder/pagebuilder-editor/pagebuilder-permissions-by-website.html).
